Podcasting

Close Knit Podcast

During my freshman year, I collaborated with a team of students to create a podcast from the ground up to spotlight humanities interests at UNC. We produced four episodes using Adobe Audition to be released on Spotify, featuring award-winning student author Victoria Wlosok, a UNC librarian discussing banned books, advice from graduating seniors and a segment with the fashion podcast Coulture Conversations. As the Social Media Manager, I created and stuck to a social media content schedule to interact with listeners on Instagram, posting up to 3 times a week.

On this episode, we spoke with award-winning author Victoria Wlosok, a UNC English Major. She shared her experience balancing life as a student and writer of her debut novel, “How to Find a Missing Girl.”

In this episode, we heard from our two seniors in UNC’s English Department. Kate and Laura shared their experience as college students at UNC and the unavoidable unknowns of young adult life. Listen to hear more about course registration, which classes to take and choosing a major.
