Public Relations
UNC College of Arts and Sciences
This past fall I served as a Public Communications Assistant for UNC College of Arts and Sciences. Throughout my internship, I edited and wrote features on student scholarship recipients, educational opportunities, and innovative research initiatives for digital platforms and the biannual print publication, Carolina Arts & Sciences Magazine, sent to 60,000 Carolina faculty and alumni every semester. I created engaging social media content on Facebook (3,300 followers) and X (7,000 followers), covering 43 academic departments and 118 undergraduate programs of study. Additionally, I assisted in updating and maintaining College WordPress website (205,000 pageviews yearly) with media hits, articles and press releases, adhering to AP style and SEO best practices.
